WhoWe Are!

I started with the simple idea of bringing my experience as a runner to others. Specializing in working with distance athletes from 5K to Marathon, I'll use my experience and the latest science based approaches to help you reach your goals. I believe in maximizing results with the minimum effective amount of training stress.

Full Speed Process

At the heart of the Full Speed Process are my core beliefs ...

Maximize Training

The most important part of successful training is staying injury free.  To do that we have to train purposefully, safely, and eliminate unnecessary risk.  Years of data you run your risk of injury increases as you increase either pace, distance, or both.  We also know that the principle of diminishing returns exists with running.  Therefore I believe in having athletes run just long enough and just fast enough to accomplish their goal.

Strength Phase Is Constant

The strength phase of running doesn't mean spending hours in the gym doing squats and deadlifts (runners call that cross training).  Running Strength is built through specific types of running workouts such as hills, fartleks, thresholds etc.  I've found the strength phase to be the most valuable in both injury prevention and fitness improvement which is why my training programs include strength workouts throughout.

Goals Drive Improvement

If we don't know where we are going how are we going to get there?  At Full Speed we all have a goal that we are working on and that goal drives the focus of everything we do.  That doesn't mean your goals have to be to qualify for Boston, or to make the Olympic team.  They can be as simple as running your first 5K, maintaining your current half marathon pace, or running 3 times a week.  Whatever your goal is will be just as important to me as it is to you.
